Dr. Ruggieri blew me away from the moment I met her.
Sitting in her classroom on the first day of class I was amazed by her energy and passion. Dr. Ruggieri always manages to captivate her audience through her positivity, ability to engage, and confidence in her material. In our classroom she was able to create a learning environment in which the students were able to connect with and learn from each other. Incorporating small group activities and debates encouraged students to actively engage with the material in a fun and memorable way.
Dr. Ruggieri’s abilities do not stop in the classroom. She has become an inspiration and a mentor. I have taken the tools I learned from Dr. Ruggieri’s class and applied them to my own life. Recognizing the importance in the work that she does inspired me in my own career path. Over the past several years Dr. Ruggieri has gone above and beyond her role as professor. Her patience, encouragement, and guidance in helping me pursue a career in public health has led me to where I am today. Dr. Ruggieri truly believes in helping others create happier and healthier lives. Her energy, positivity, passion, and knowledge of the field allow her make an effective and lasting difference.
